SW just sent an email out about changes to Rapid Rewards.

Fewer flights needed to qualify for A or A Preferred, two free drinks instead of one, points plus dollars, etc...

Every other program is getting more stringent and they are loosening. Any insight on whether loss of their frequent traveler base due to their screw ups and downgrading of status with piss-poor boarding is the culprit?

I like these changes because I am not flying as much for work as pre-COVID so it is harder for me to maintain A status.

I was in the screw SW camp for the longest, and it was strengthened by the Christmas cluster, however now that they are the main servicer of my home airport (ELP) I have come to really enjoy them. I should be able to hit A list this year and am looking very much forward to it.

For me, just became that way in last 2yrs... Drindlded from Companion/preferred to A-list alongside 1k with United in last two years.

After screwed my xmas trip, I went all over to United and got 1k by August. Still 1 mil RR points to burn somewhere though

Would rather SW, but their treatment of best customers pushed me away. If they introduced assigned seats, I may swap back, but screw the jet bridge jesus bullshite.
