This is how you get things done! If you want a pay raise, give us what we want. Our grandchildren and children deserve to go to the best Private Schools!

Idk why they’d vote for it when both ways it cuts their job, but I’m all for it. Teachers bitch too much about pay for what the current results are.

Teachers shouldn't receive a dime in pay raises until 2 things happen.

1. Eliminate the requirement for a degree in education. There is absolutely zero evidence that such a degree makes you more qualified to teach than say, just having a degree in math, chemistry, etc etc.

2. Eliminate flat pay. There's no rational reason that the art teacher's pay scale is the same as the physics teacher's. It's utter silliness. You're basically forced to grossly overpay for one category of teacher in order to actually attract the other.

Nobody deserves private school. It's your job to teach your children, not the state's. That being said, anything that undermine's public education and teachers unions I'm for. Public school teachers are a plague on this country.

He shouldn't add teacher pay until they stop ignoring his CRT ban

Imagine the savings if you eliminated high school sports from the taxpayers who just want their kids to get a high quality education for a career, and not subsidize sports. Make parents who want their kids in sports pay to be in a league and the facilities for it.

What people don't realize will happen is these schools will accept anyone to start, then after the October 1 federal count the private schools will just kick out any student with a behavior problem. This is their advantage. At that point they get the funding for the student for the year, then kick them out and public schools have to accept them and offer the Free and Appropriate Public Education. It is why private schools don't have to have alternative schools.

Only question I have is will there be a selection process for who is able to get a voucher or will everyone get it that applies? If not everyone who gets prioritized?

Below is from an article. Looks like a certain group will be prioritized.

The bill includes a formula to prioritize entry to the program if there are more applicants than funds available. Forty percent of open spots would go to students who receive free or reduced lunch; 30% to families who earn between 185% and 500% of the federal poverty line; 20% to those with disabilities; and 10% to those who attended public, private or home-school in the last school year.
