re: Our 2nd amendment right is the biggest reason this doesn't happen in the US.

I fully support the 2nd amendment but if you are suggesting we could not see a breakout of terrorist attacks in the US that kills thousands than maybe you never heard of 911.
TBH Im surprised we havent seen a another major attack involving a just a number of guys with guns mowing down folks in target rich environments. Imagine the Las Vegas mass shooting in every major city at the same time.

Would this have happened on the scale it did if people had bothered to fight back? The problem, during that barrage, was that no citizen fought back, and the police showed up at his door 42 minutes after the shooting started, and 29 minutes after he had already killed himself.
Same story Parkland, Uvalde, Columbine, on and on and on
