I worked incident command for this and two weeks in they quietly ended it. Yes, there was real concern about the damage this would cause and even heard stories of some Plaquemines Parish residents having appliance damage.
We were told that we would possibly have work Incident Command until January but as time went on it was clear that this was going to be a big nothing burger

I mean who isn't glad about this ... NOLA wasn't exactly primed to handle an actual emergency issue of this magnitude
They're still fighting over first class airline tickets, apartment use, and PR battles with their own appointments
