Yards after catch. I remember BK saying that they wanted to improve on getting the ball to our wrs in position to gain more yards after the catch. We are light years better this season. The offense as a whole has really grown in all phases.

When you hit them in stride at the right point in the route, you get good YAC. That’s the difference this year.

Last year it seemed he’d wait til they got open, then throw late or he’d make them wait on an under throw. If they have to stop, they’re probably getting tackled.

No more muffed punts, which is refreshing. Would prefer to have someone back there who can not only field the punt/kick but also someone who can get yards instead of fair catches every time.

While this is true, it’s not the only reason. Our receivers are making the correct moves after the catch on hitches, outs, and curls as well. They’re reading where defenders are, and making a move after the catch to find green grass. This is where YAC truly comes from. Not just hitting receivers in stride. It’s receivers making the right moves with the ball in their hands.

And doing it with Lacey getting limited touches. His drops more than justify him getting passed up but he is great after the catch.

I was hoping to see Aaron Anderson be a weapon on punt return.

Having the wide outs they have along with Taylor and Diggs is a solid core to have.
