Tim Tebow the NFL QB - Any chance for success?

I don't see him having success as a starting QB in the NFL. Maybe as a situational player or if he converts to WR, HB, or TE.

I'd say he has success. Although his trademark as a runner he throws a decent ball. I mean look around the NFL landscape - he may not be Peyton Manning but he's a little better than Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is only throwing a football because the season's a wash and their starter is too important to be out there injured for no reason lol.
Out of the 32 QBs starting right now not due to injury in the NFL.. I don't think Tebow looks more promising than any of them sans maybe Derek Anderson or the rotation of terrible QBs Chicago uses.

I think he can, but he's got ways to go. First and foremost, his release is disturbingly slow. His throwing motion is ugly. He does have the arm strength though, so if they can polish his techniques, I can see him having success. He's pretty accurate too.

Whoever drafts him is going to have to overhaul his whole throwing motion.

If you define success by superbowls and pro bowls then no, he's got no shot. He could be a starter for a few years, maybe. He's got moxie, and his moxie has a non-stop motor.

Trent Dilfer wasn't that bad of a QB, he's not not Brett Favre or Peyton Manning who's going to blow you away with his game.

This is taking into account his 18 and 19 INT a year seasons on turrible Bucs teams when he was drafted and the fact he played for Cleveland and San Francisco lol.
He definitely wasn't worth a first round pick, but he won a Superbowl, had a 14 year carrer and wasn't atrociously bad like Joey Harrington or David Carr.

Tebow will be a QB in the NFL, not a TE or FB. I doubt that he is ever a starting QB though. Career backup, maybe a situational short yardage.

tebow is a better passer than he is a runner. he could end up being alot like mcnabb.

True. A lot of people knock on his arm, but he's got the arm strength and accuracy. It's just the throwing motion that causes his release to be very slow. That's all fixable, I'm not saying he'll get rid of it though, but he MAY be able to change.
2 examples:
-Tom Brady, worked himself into being one of the most fundamentally sound QBs. His mechanics make his arm look way better than it really is.
-Vince Young, 3 years in the pros, yet he cant get rid of that ugly arse throwing motion and slow release.

He does not have very good arm strength at all. His passes seem to float a little. He has huge passing windows playing in the SEC though.
