That comment was in response to someone appreciating the fact that Jokic does his job well, a job for which he is paid $50 million.

It had nothing to do with whether Jokic cares, which, based off his mindset, he clearly doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

Just poking fun at the whole “I appreciate the job Jokic is doing and getting paid $50 million for, even though he hates it”.

I find that hilarious.
