Yes or no?

Why aren't they? Is it some kind of NCAA or SEC rule? If that's the case - why are they allowed at bowl games? If its just a TS rule - isn't that kind of dumb? Half the crowd is sneaking in their own booze anyway - may as well make money off of it. Its basically a system of salutory neglect as it is - no one cares if you bring it in as long as you're discreet and don't act like an arse.

If revenue can be brought in from alcohol sales - and it could - lots of it - maybe they wouldn't need to jack up ticket prices as much.

I think it has something to do with the stadium being on campus. For some reason the suites are treated as off campus, I think because they are owned by TAF. I could be wrong but either way it won't happen.

It would still be cheaper to sneak in your own unless you want beer.

It is an SEC rule, which is why it isn't allowed for those games, but it is for the bowl games. It only applies when an SEC team is the host.

Its not a on campus stadium or a SEC home stadium.

Yep.

If there is an NCAA component as well, it is nowhere as restrictive as the SEC one.

I'm guessing, didn't they serve it for the Tulane LSU game?

Apparently the only NCAA restriction is no alcohol at championship events.

Maybe the rules changed. Just pulling from a news article from a couple of years ago. All I could find.
