So obviously theyre one of the best. But for backyard use, is there $1000 benefit over say a recteq with similar space? Anyone own one?

I own one. Ys640 built in 2017. Had to do some minor parts replacements over the 6 years I've had it but nothing big. I love the versatility of it with direct grilling options and plenty of cook space with top shelf in.

Built like a tank.

I have the 480, bought in 2017. Still runs like a champ, built like a tank. Rusts like crazy, have to keep tabs on that.

Would I buy again? Not sure, I really like the new Camp Chef pellet grills with the wood chunk drawer to add additional smoke flavor.

That depends on you really. If you’re considering one, take a look at Lonestar Grillz also.

Also check out Smokin Brothers smokers at smokinbrothers.com . They are made in Missouri.

Have a ys1500 built in 2015.

Replaced the computer a few years ago.

Love it. Everything else is inferior.
