now the school loans show back up and many will be behind.

Oh, well. I haven't paid mine or my wife's since the pause started, but we paid off two vehicles with stupid interest rates, saved up for a down payment on a new home and began construction, sold our home for a nice profit, saved up enough to pay hers off with the click of a mouse, and stashed away the money I would normally pay towards student loans. The sad fact of the matter is that I would've paid off only 25% of what I owe during the pause had I opted to do so. And I wouldn't be where I'm at financially either.

A very large portion of the population needs to learn simple budgeting and keep tabs on their shite a lot better than they do.

I, for one, didn't want to pay because if by some miracle Biden delivered on his "promise," I'm out all that money I just paid and I don't have the cushion I have now to deal with the rampant inflation that would result.

We're fully prepared and willing to pay back the debt we owe. It's not our fault others were living well beyond their means and fantasizing about a pipe dream of loan forgiveness. We live in reality, so this was no surprise. I don't feel sorry for the people who believe the government is their friend and wound up in a shite situation as a result. The writing was on the wall.
