I do not want to be unkind to anyone, but the state of LSU football is a tale of two cities.
It is the best of times for the offense, which is near the top nationally in many categories. Better yet, we are doing it with very young players everywhere, and we have bench full of really great younger players.
Defense is the complete opposite. We look awful currently, and although we have a handful of soph and freshman starters, the outlook is not nearly as good on our younger roster. Our recruiting on defense is not in the same league as offense.
Our DC is deeply underachieving.
