Ya, kinda silly to stop game and run out with another base, when you can stop the game give an ovation, and continue play. Instead of waiting on ole Ned running out to switch the bases out. Kinda silly

My question was ? Why do they remove the base? When the game will end in about 10-15 minutes and take the base then? Not pull up a bag, bring in a replacement bag?
When Drew Brees broke a record did they take down a goal post? Or remove some f the playing field?
