Well first of all, he doesn't need all that stuff. That's just stuff that I have and secondly, even if he bought all that shite plus a $200 Weber kettle, he's only 740 bones in the hole.

The cheapest Weber Summit will run him about $1250.

Won’t argue this. But you’ll get a better built, better insulated pit that will probably last twice as long.

I cooked on a weber kettle with a SNS and a bunch of other gadgets through the years and it was good, but I added a Weber Summit Kamado to my arsenal a few years back and it blows the kettle out of the water right out of the box. The Weber Summmit Kamado is a kettle on steroids and is just superior in every way. Love mine and it will probably last me the rest of my life.
