Yes Dew point matters and helps. What did you plant?

We planted Oct 5th and got 8/10s of an inch one week later. We spend a bunch of money on fertilizer/lime/chopping/dragging all our food plots.
If you spill seed in the limestone at the porch you will have a nice stand of grass.
