I'm wondering if I should go ahead and disc the plots I planned on disking (the ones with bare ground) now before the little rain because it would break it up better...

what do you think?

I did 9 of them today. I broke up better than i thought . I always break up the ground at least twice before seeding and have good plots as long as Mother Nature cooperates.
