You put Daniels down, but name another team in the SEC that has a better performing QB. We're lucky to have Daniels because life without him would not be nearly as successful. Not many QBs in the country can throw and run at the level that Daniels does. Ask every HC in the SEC, which the exception of maybe Georgia, and they would all take Daniels over their current QB.

Running maybe. Passing there are QBs that are more consistent and just better throwing the ball. Daniels running should always force teams to focus on it and leave more open space in secondary, but he still struggles getting comfortable and taking advantage of it early.

But if you just look at stats JD is just 6 yards and 1 TD pass ahead of Swann

Rattler isn’t far behind, and Cook is very close in passing rating. Dart isn’t as far behind as one would think after watching him this year.

I don’t think Georgia, Arkansas, or South Carolina would trade. A&M, Bama, Ole Miss, or Missouri would be doubtful (not sure how much at State is adapting to new new offense or QB only fitting Air Raid). Though Some solely based on offense being run, and some based on personality of coach. It’s a transition or development year for a lot of SEC with QBs. It’s also early in that kind of year.

Outside of SEC - Washington, USC, Oregon, Washington State, NC, ND, FSU, Miami, Colorado, Michigan, or the 2 future members of the SEC would not trade as well.

This early plenty of other QBs looking good to date with stats. Looking at stats I had to double check on who J Plummer’s dad is, who the other J Daniels is & then who the 3rd J Daniels is, and even Pratt is leading in passing rating after missing 2 games due to injury & probably had a better season last year than JD. Former SEC QB Hunter King at GT is just 1 TD pass behind. It’s early and much can change with them or others lower down in some of the stats moving up like Duke’s QB who is lower than expected in yards and TDs right now.

JD is really good, but it’s foolish to think the number of teams having better or equal QBs is as limited as some here push. I would hand the keys to several QBs over any QB we currently have on the roster. Would want a new OC at the same time.
