Legally a person can’t purchase a handgun across state lines. Hopefully they shipped it back to a dealer in FL. It’s fricking stupid but with the Hunter shite going on right now would hate for him to get caught up in something as silly as a illegal firearm purchase.

You must be fricking stupid-

Under federal law, individuals can lawfully obtain a long gun from a seller or transferor in another state, provided that: Both parties meet in person to conduct the sale or transfer. The sale or transfer is conducted by, or through, a licensed dealer, pursuant to a background check and other requirements.

I was just coming to say this.

I tried to buy a pistol in Texas years ago and found out about this ridiculous law.

I saw no actual transaction but if it was a sale, the dealer could have shipped it to a FFL holder in Florida.

That is industry standard, the gun shop won’t even give the option to walk out the store with it unless you’re a state resident.

It goes straight to packaging and shipped dealer to dealer.
