Because it was cheaper. This has nothing to do with his positions and shows zero hypocrisy.
It is not hypocritical to be in favor of protectionism while taking advantage of current laws that allow immigration. Nor is it hypocritical to be in favor of higher taxes while continuing to pay the lower statutory ones.
Landry is the next Governor. There is no reason for anyone - Republican, Democrat or Independent - to spend much energy on it anymore.

Agreed, but it is hypocritial to be in favor of enforcing current laws while actually not following current laws yourself.
