I think whippings are warranted at times, but there’s a very big difference in a well deserved spanking and beating people and calling it discipline. I think most rational human beings know the difference, but the trouble gets when a whole society live their lives around physical confrontations, yelling at and berating people, and all in anger, with no love to be seen.
It’s no great wonder the byproducts of all of this end up settling everything with fists and guns, don’t know how to talk to one another without resorting to threats and insults, and have an inability to love and be loved. Look at the references they have to draw from.
