That’s nothing compared to how I was raised. I’ve often said that if my grandmother who raised me were doing so today in the same way she did it in the 1970s & early 80s, it would make national news and probably even spawn a HLN special.

I grew up in the 90s and my mom didn’t hold back when swinging a paddle. She’d tell my teachers they had permission to give me the same thing if I acted up in school. Consequently, I was always well behaved at school.
