Coming in for first game in a couple of years. Gonna be headed west towards Lake Charles after the game. Where is the best place to park to get back to I-10 after the game?

Hayfield lot will have you exiting on River Road towards the bridge.

Leave early lol - seriously there are mandatory routes you have to take out of the campus area. I suggest you look on LSUSports website under Gameday for the map to see where to position yourself parking wise

You don’t have to leave early, just look at the map and park in the area that the contra flow will direct you back west. We have an amazingly high number of people who don’t park according to the direction they need to leave, then they jam everyone up as they try to get across campus while everyone is leaving.

If you don't mind a bit of a walk, there are usually a couple of churches on Dalrymple that sell parking on gameday for $20 or thereabout. The first two churches on each side as you pass State Street. Presbyterian on the right and Lutheran on the left I think. The Methodist church a little further down has season parking passes only, though. They can fill up sort of early though.
It may seem counterintuitive but the flow on Dalrymple is much better than the other side of campus and you get on the interstate and over the bridge quicker than going down Nicholson after a game.
The one other option would be parking in the hood and still a long walk back. McKinley used to sell parking in their fenced-in lot. The walk back felt all sort of sketchy 5 or 6 years ago so I suspect that can't be any better now. But there was a short drive to an onramp that had nearly 0 traffic and was as fast as I have ever gotten onto the interstate after a game. Hell if I recall the route though and I doubt I'd park there again.

Didn’t they close Hayfield down and force people to park by the old box? I usually park in Hayfield but last year vs Bama they had it blocked off and forced me to the lot by the old box and it was a NIGHTMARE after the game
