It's the Atkin D37 shade top they show and play in this video, about 8:50 in.

Nice. I wish I could be a good enough picker to deserve a guitar like that. I would have everything dicked.

Life is short, might as well play great guitars.

Also, completely unrelated, but the new Yamaha FG9's are AMAZING.

They're $4k but worth it IMO, the one I played sounded better than a lot of $6k and $7k stuff.

Still odd to pay $4k for a Yamaha though, not going to lie.

I'm not joking one bit, the guitar I sold a little while ago was almost an exact copy of a Martin D-45, and fantastically done.
I can't say that it sounded like a D-45, because I've never played one. Mainly because I never pick up a guitar that I know I can't afford.
I will say that it sounded and played as good as any D-28 I've ever had in my hands.
The workmanship on that guitar is incredible. The Label and headstock logo are Zuwei.
I would have loved to keep the guitar, but when it's all said and done, I had a chance to make a 45% profit, and I can't pass that up.

So many builders are making really good guitars these days, the variety is incredible.

The really good ones stand out though. There's a big difference too. No matter the label.
Working on these things, playing and feeling them, it's the best thing you can do.
Wish I'd known it when I was younger.

I’ve been watching some demos on them, and have been intrigued. I haven’t been able to get my hands on one yet. Gorgeous guitars.

They're very loud, responsive, and playability is great.

I played both the rosewood and the mahogany models and they were both excellent.

They will compete right along with a Bourgeois, Collings, high end Martin, or any of those.

Yamaha's are awesome. Early this year, I bought a Taylor 324ce. Shortly after, I played a Yamaha AC5R. I returned the Taylor and Kept the Yamaha.
