Start naming names. Get these officials names into the public discourse. Most voters don't know who the bad players are, they just know "some of them" are corrupt.

Senator Patrick Connick District 8
Senator Bob Hensgens District 26

The 2 Louisiana pogy plants are in these two senators districts. Hensgens is the Chairman of the State Natural Resorce Committee, and Connick is on it as well. Before any bill can get to the floor of the senate it has to go through the Committee. And if Hensgens doesn’t want to hear it, it dies and never makes it out of committee to get voted on.

Which is what happened in 2022 with House Bill 1033, and this year with House Bill 576.

And then even if one gets through to the governor next year, if Landry wins he’s pretty much said unless there is a large scientific study that says I need to do this I won’t restrict commercial fishing.

And that was in regards to only the 1 mile buffer. CCA wasn’t even asking about quotas.

Waguespack at-least went on record and said he would support pushing menhaden fishing 1 mile off the coast.
