I haven't saved anyone from certain death. I did however stand there and watch my friend die. We were both 3 and I had no idea he was dying at the time. Once I realized his 'can you do this' moment went wrong, I did get his mom but it was too late. Almost 50 years later I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

Back then there was zero child supervision.
