It’s the most glaring thing between the success and failure of the offense. Receivers are not going to be wide open on every play. When the offense struggles, it’s usually because Daniels refuses to make contested passes and just takes off or takes the sack. It’s why the receivers often get frustrated with him going back to last year.

I’m reminded of Joe Burrow telling Herbstreit “If I can see the db’s name on his jersey, my guy is open.” Doesn’t matter how tight the coverage is.
