He's not a CB. He's a very good safety.

I really think people need to take an i.q. test in order to post on the rant

Chad Jones needs to go to Theatre Class more often. Saw him all dressed up one night because he has to Usher a play as a requirement for a class.

to be honest, it did look like he was out of position a lot yesterday. I think he is talented i just dont think he is as good as many on here believe, at least not at this point with these coaches

FAIL!

The disappointment is playing him out of position. Recruited to play safety, not CB.

i think so

chad jones came in to LSU as one of the best defensive players in the country

he was our defensive version of joe mcknight, and he can't even win a starting job on the team

he constantly looks lost

jackson is still consistant. he is statistically having the exact same season this year as last.

Safeties have to cover tight ends, backs and receivers from time to time. When a team goes 4 or 5 wide, he may have to cover receivers.. whether he plays safety or not.

I'm more concerned with the fact he - and the rest of LSU's DBs and LBs - seem to have a problem breaking down, wrapping up and then driving through the ball carrier to make a tackle. Some of these guys need a refresher on the basics. Forget blitz schemes and zones. These guys should be working on man coverage and tackling in preparation for any bowl game.

Also, has anyone else noticed how they don't play very good TEAM defense. Several guys in one space of a zone coverage.. multiple defenders jumping one route while other receivers run free.. and more than once yesterday, one guy would have contain on the outside, and another guy would overrun the play instead of filling his lane, allowing the ball carrier to cut back and make a big play.
