Teal season opener
New Roads, LA
Pond in field
Partly Cloudy 72 degrees with 4 mph NE wind
Beretta A400 12 gauge, light modified choke with #3 steel
6 blue winged teal dekes floating next to me.

Not expecting much but it’s the opening. Good luck to all out this morning.

As expected so far, only action was a pair of woodies splashdown in the teal decoys. At least something to watch.

My friends smashed them just north of Port Barre. I was invited but had to work.

He texted me that they were 1 shy of a 6 man limit. I was still in bed with the blinds closed and didn't even know it was sunrise.

Good luck all. I went fishing this morning with my wife. Caught 16 stripers then the bite slowed down about 9 am so we did some catfishing and caught 5 nice ones.
