There absolutely is a LOT wrong with unions, chief among the issues with Unions in the US today is that they only exist in industries that want them to exist...they are, for the most part, nothing more than an extension of capital. They are allowed to exist, they do not exist despite management. Even with this being the case though the differences in wages alone is worth the cost of admission for most Americans. Most do not have an opportunity to belong to a union but when given a chance will usually take it in a heartbeat.
