I guess I don't understand why the big 3 auto makers, UPS, etc, don't just tell the unions "we don't need you anymore", and the employees can stay employed or be replaced.
I work in an industry where a shite ton of vendors ship product. It's extremely rare to see UPS making a delivery. As far as the automakers, did any of the companies I listed need a bailout? Are they thriving? There's 4 different auto plants in Alabama, all non-UAW. Kia and BMW are in Georgia. Mississippi has Nissan.
