1992 was when I got there…but we didn’t have enough money to tailgate…I mean our own tailgate (we strung together parents’ setups though). Seems like something you do after college.

been setting up and tailgating for 20+ years. Tailgating died when ole Joe Aleva shut down the Nichloson corridor because people where having to walk in the road to avoid all the people on the sidewalk along the Railroad tracks. they also started charging to park on the interior of campus, with the stupid permits for trailers. i usually get to campus at 5Am , and here is the truth. Tailgating is dead. if you think anything more than that you are too young to know better. at 10am this past week, i counted about 6 tailgates in the old front nine free parking......6, what a fricking joke. Tailgating is WORK, and older groups gave up with the rule changes and 4k Tv's at home. newer groups don't have the work ethic to stick to it. shopping, organizing, setting up, cooking, tearing down. Damn you Joe Aleva.
