The first time I logged into my new Schwab account, I found the cost basis of my ETFs.

I have multiple accounts. To get there, I click on the specific account. Then click on the figure under "Cost Basis" column. Up pops all of my trades with same details I would get at TD Ameritrade.

I'm saying I had at least a decade of so of transactions. They didn't pull them all over. They went back less than a year. So most of the transfers were with just "shares in." With no real cost basis.
