A lot of the locals in my hometown are like that with our representative too because his mom was a school principal and his dad is an ex mayor. The guy has passed dozens of regulations that have slowed down economic development in this state and helped his donors but he's still "a good ole baw" because his dad was a mediocre mayor and his mom was their principal.
That's why I refuse to believe in the whole "Louisianans are victims to corrupt politicians" conspiracy. There's plenty of people around here that are dumb enough to put people like this in office.
