On Netflix. Remember laughing at them as a teen in the 80’s when they would advertise their records on TV. They seemed so outdated in the mid 80’s. Started listening to them a few years later and told myself the jokes on you buddy. One of my top 5 bands of all time. They just don’t make them like that anymore. Got nostalgic watching this and I was just a toddler when they hit big.

They were cooking on all cylinders that night. Old-school rock doesn’t get any better.

Just stripped down perfection. Amazed at Fogerty’s ability to describe and emote southern bayou culture without having ever stepped foot in the state. And being from Northern California no less.

I have that concert on vinyl; says “Recorded April 1970”

Yep. April 11, 1970. The same day that the Beatles announced their breakup. Fogerty said before the show that he was a little nervous about how they would be received as a result of that. They were arguably the second biggest band in the world at that time.

Recently watched this, it was awesome. My 17 year old daughter watched with me and loved it. I think I did something right.
