If rain not only cancels your entire event but causes a "national emergency" requiring rescue when most others call it a fun weekend you are not well prepared for jack shite in general.
Nobody that has ever met me, certainly not traveled with me, would ever call me ill-prepared. It is impossible to prepare for every eventuality and certainly not for every freak possibility.

You also need to check your almanac, the fact you do not know when the monsoon season is means you likely never properly prepared.
LOL, admittedly I just mimicked you with the use of monsoon because there is no monsoon season in the Black Rock Desert but the wettest times of the year are winter and spring. The fact you use southern Nevada to make your climate point shows just how much you know about the micro-climates in the region. The playa is impacted by the Cascades and Sierra Nevada range and is 350 miles north and 175 west of Las Vagas. You might want to check your map because if you are unaware of this you are likely usually lost.
Whether you know it or not you are trying to big-dick someone that has spent time in some of the most inhospitable areas of the planet and knows how to read a map.

No I am just sitting here laughing at someone try to split hairs in an effort to run from their previous statement.
You should be far more worried about convincing NOAA and the NWS than some anonymous poster, they are the true science deniers.
