The Louisiana State Police is beyond corrupt. They should be disbanded. I don’t know when they crossed the line from being a legitimate and honorable law enforcement agency to a corrupt organization, but it’s been in the last 10-15 years.

Another episode of corruption happened this week. A Shreveport city councilman tried to get out of a ticket by flashing a LSP badge. Eventually, State Police Maj. Cordell Williams was forced to admit he gave the councilman a “patch” badge at church.

Neither is facing any further discipline.

I used to work with an old engineer who was a retired higher-up at DOTD. He used to say that the only thing LSP had ever been good for was escorting governors to various whorehouses around the state.

I know a couple of former troopers. Their opinions of the organization, from top to bottom, is absolutely terrifying.
