If you’re too rigidly attached to the source material you’ll likely never enjoy any adaptation of it. Expect to be perpetually disappointed in the future. This is just reality. I wish you the best.

The show is great! And I agree with whoever said it looks expensive, but it is actually shot pretty cheap so i think they will keep it going as long as they can.
Yeah it is based on the novels but more just the premise.

In this instance, you don't have to be rigidly attached to it to know this doesn't even resemble the source. I'm not even talking about the race and gender swaps that most get mad about, I'm talking just the story in general. You're making it sound like nothing someone really likes can be properly adopted.
