especially if you consider usc let up fricking 6.0 ypp vs sj state last weekend
they couldnt stop a nose bleed, no way they cover a spread that large

Week 1 last year, FBS teams that were favored by at least 4 TDs against other FBS teams went 8-0 ATS.
That included
Bama -42 vs Utah State
Texas -37 vs ULM
Tennessee-37 vs Ball St
Minnesota-36 vs NM St
Minnesota was the only one that won by < 38.5
Baylor also covered -42.5
Miami covered -49.5
Wisconsin covered -36.5
Marshall covered -40.5
Texas Tech covered -38
(Not sure all of those were against FBS)

Not at all, one team is clearly overmatched and you're simply betting on the favored team to pay attention long enough to cover the number.
That said, I'd never lay that many points on this awful usc defense.
