It shouldn’t get like that at all. I have been an LSU fan all my life and lived in NWA for close to 2 decades and more or less grew up there. I just know Arkansas fan in general being married into a family of them.
Like others have said, Tigerbait is just a tradition. Instead of trying to say LSloser or some other stupid thing like Corndogs, say Woo Pig back, laugh and say looking forward to a hard fought game. You do that and 99% of fans will engage with you and want yall to have a good time.

Me too! Been up here for over 3 decades and flyfishing my heart out. Still like to wet a line in the Gulf / Marsh though.
