I read through every day of 1918 in my local newspaper and zero articles mentioned a mask. The only one that sort of referenced the flu was that if you were sick don’t go to the county fair this year.

Agreed. There could women and children dropping like flies and I’ll never still put on another mask. Maybe y’all should have cried wolf over a bad cold last time.
