Earl hit a homer again by doing Camas. The bass boats are excellent as well. My good friend owns a dealership in Georgia that sells them and Tidewater as welll as Skeeter.

He has great things to say about the Camas but man they are pricey...... Close to 300K rigged.

I have a 27' boat with twins and I'll tell you its a BIG step up from a 24' or so bay boat with a single. In MANY ways, good and bad. For the average weekend fisherman, IMO its really hard to beat something like a 24ish foot bay boat for multipurpose. My dad has a bay boat and I have multiple friends with the 21-25 ft off shore boat, so I wanted to take that next step.

Its a great boat and I love it, big casting platform. 36v trolling motor will spot lock in 2-3s, etc.

BUT, towing her is a biatch with a gas 1/2 ton. Its not horrible, but its also not a bay boat. Its noticeable. Twin engines require a good bit more work, everything is more expensive, etc. Its also not really a single person launchable boat. So, fishing by myself is not really possible. Again, something you could more easily do in a smaller bay boat.

I've been out in snotty seas and its sure safer, but its not really any more fun. I'm simply tossing all this out there to remind everyone with big bay boats that the grass is not always greener on a bigger boat.
