2021 Texas Bowl- that game was everything that being a Tiger is about. Other teams declined bowls, the roster was depleted, no QB, we still went and competed. One of my favorite games all time even in a loss.
If you look at the circumstances (relative quality of opponent, roster attrition etc), this game should have been way more lopsided in favor of K State. Like, LSU-Purdue level of bad, or worse. Purdue at least had actual QBs out on the field.
LSU pooled a group of guys together that would be better suited for an intramural Flag Football tournament, and got a few scores against a team that was decent and was trying. And when you watch the postgame press conference, Kirklin was ready to go play again that afternoon if given a chance to.
