I expect some convictions , but then everything get overturned on appeal, or at the Supreme Court. I mean, Trump was President at the time, if anything, and had immunity , which carries over. The Documents case is the strongest, but there’s also case law and the Records act that will serve him in the higher courts. Trump will be protected in the end, but I do think he will initially be convicted in one of these kangaroo courts

It doesn’t matter the final result. If they can create enough uncertainty the hope is they will break the will of people leading to them turning to other candidates to avoid a crisis.

Whatever immunity he had from prosecution certainly does not carry over to obstruction of justice when he's not President anymore. It likely wouldn't apply if he was still sitting as President (see: Nixon).
