What part of the process makes any sense to you? If the government wasn’t subsidizing this, would it even be a thing?

At some point it has become a profitable endeavor that’s not reliant on the government.

I think it’s probably more about how much it costs, the fact that the enormous expenditure of taxpayer dollars will be way more than they’re estimating, the productivity will be way less than they’re estimating, and the overall impact to global warming or climate change will be precisely zero.
