One of those Olongapo bands would look pretty sweet in a travel ball theme.

That is an oldie but a goodie.

Anyone that loves watches should watch the Hodinkee Talking Watches series especially:

Jean Claude Biver JCB is an industry titan who LOVES watches This TW has some interesting insights on the AP Royal Oak vs Hublot lore
Eric Ku
Raul de Molina
Jason Singer
Both John Mayer segments
William Massena
Roger Smith One of the best living watchmakers
Reza Rashidian
Max Busser
Jasem Al Zereia
Grahame Fowler The unassuming king of Rolex Milsubs and Comex divers
Bill Higgins
Patrick Getreide

The best IMO are the two Auro Montanari AKA John Goldberger Talking Watches. The greatest shot in all of the Talking Watches (IMO) is when Goldberger is showing Ben Clymer a gorgeous 1940s Longines chronograph (one of 8 known) and when ask to discuss the movement he casually reaches over and grabs a cheese knife wipes it on the arm of his blazer jacket and proceeds to crack the case with the knife. This is in his first Talking Watches when the videography was far more stylized for better or worse.

I can get behind a Tudor Sub any day of the week, but the band tho…hard pass. Looks like the cap toes on some Mexican cockroach killers.

Olongapo bands were custom made in the Phillipines for guys going to and from Vietnam. Usually decorated with unit insignia, qualification badges, etc. You can still order them from the same guy who made them then. Considered very bad form to wear them unless you have a military or LEO background.
