He was comparing a freshman RB who has never played a game to a freshman RB who had never played a game.

So that was not the stupid part. The stupid part was that Hershel Walker was absolutely dominating EVERY practice Georgia had. No one had EVER seen a back like that. TTT is comparing a back who had a nice day to one who could not be stopped on any day.

What I like about Kaleb Jackson is two things: First is his speed. The second is the way he draws contact. Jackson does not let a tackler get in on him. Instead, he initiates the contact prematurely so that the tackler does not get a clean shot. Watch that screen and notice how he drops his hips into that one defender then moves away. That is a very subtle but beautiful move. And it’s instinctive.

I admit that I may have jumped the gun overreacting to LSU’s first scrimmage, let’s see how KJ does in LSU’s next one. Everyone has been overreacting to various stats of Saturday’s scrimmage.

But I also can get serious. What we need to see is how much both QB’s stats improve and has the tackling improved on defense.
