Dude is a joke. Oregon??
My understanding of his rankings is that they give weight to the last 3-5 years, obviously last season is weighed most heavily but he is giving program standings not team standings.
With the way 2020 and 2021 went, I think 7 is perfect.
The only thing that doesn’t add up to me is Texas. They haven’t won shite.

Whatever inputs his model uses, Texas must excel at because his model was crazy high on Texas all last year as well

Inputting anything from 2020 and 2021 into the evaluation of the 2023 steam is foolish. LSU HAD talent in 2020 and 2021. It's just that for the first time in his tenure Orgeron had full control over the actual in game approach (rather than just staying out of the way and letting his coordinators determine the best style of play). The results were predictable. O has ALWAYS been a bad HC (look no further than the fact the 2019 COY is available to hire and NO ONE wants him), he was just fortunate enough to be on the ride of a lifetime in 2019.
That talent from 2020 and 2021, even if depleted, was enough for a coach with a proven track record of success to come in, add a few key transfers, and win immediately. If you are just looking at the records from 2020 and 2021 then you are doing lazy analysis. Their was a pretty well defined anchor on that team dragging it down. LSU paid $16M to cut it loose.

They are back every year, only to fizzle out.
