My kid's about to be 8 months. I don't plan on taking him to a football game anytime soon.
My plan is I'll probably take him to a basketball game first whenever he can walk well on his own and talk ok so probably around 3 or so. It's indoors so he'll be protected from the elements and bathrooms are easier to access and generally cleaner in the PMAC and the games don't last as long. Then depending on how that goes I'll take him to a baseball game, then finally football around 4 or 5 or so when he knows what's going on and will actually remember the experience.
I just don't think it's worth bringing an infant to Tiger Stadium. You have to worry about your kid being hungry, needing diaper changes, and you also have to worry about those around you jumping into you and throwing food and drinks, and at the end of the day he's not going to remember any of it any way.
You'd be doing all of it just for a photo shoot. Might as well just bring your kid to Mike's habitat and get some photos holding him in front of that and the stadium, and then drop him off at a sitter or a family member so you can actually go enjoy the game.
