Ah, sorry. No. They have too much power to let themselves be term-limited. Years ago when a Senator proposed term-limiting SCHOOL BOARD members, the sheriffs crushed it because they were afraid it would spread to them.
Think about that. But yeah, term-limits would be a BIG improvement.

No. The Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association would not allow this to happen.
