I fall on the opposite side, I think he just got those stats cause he played 40 years. Outside of his 2nd season, dude was never a top 5 back in the league, maybe even only fringe top 10 in a few years. He grinded out a bunch of 1000-1100 yard seasons, that’s not HOF to me.

He’s only got HOF stats cause he played for so damn long

Only two people in the history of the NFL have more yards than him. He complied those stats as a running back, to be that's incredibly impressive at a position who's career last 3-4 seasons.

Not much respect being shown for a guy who played that long as a starter at a normally short-lived position in the NFL.

Frank Gore playing 16 seasons as a RB in the NFL is as impressive as any stat you'll find. He did something that no one else really was able to do.
