The neurologist said if I didn’t relieve the pressure on my nerve I would have permanent lost of feeling in my fingers, so a brace wasn’t a long term option.

Depending on where the nerve is pinched, it could be solved by adjustments from a chiropractor. I use to have numbness and pain in most of my toes and up my left thumb. Surgery alleviated my left thumb, chiropractor fixed my toes. Right thumb can go up anyone’s arse who disagrees.
